Falling.

There is a recurring dream I have every so often. Actually its more a recurring end to dreams.
The beginning of the dream could be anything, it is always completely different. But eventually, I come to a ladder, and I have to climb it. I might have climbed the ladder earlier in the dream or I might not have seen it yet. It is a simple ladder, one sided, the type you might lean against a wall or a tree. I am completely alone, and I must climb this ladder, maybe to get onto a roof or, in the case of last nights dream, through a hatchway in cliff face. So I climb this ladder, its all fine on the way up, but then when I get to the top, I get worried. I am too scarred to take my hands off the ladder to open the hatchway, or climb onto the roof edge, or whatever the scenario might be. I carefully let go of the ladder with one hand and slowly stretch it out, only to pull it back at the last minute because I thought I felt the ladder wobble. This action is repeated for a while, and then, to my horror, I feel it. The ladder starts slowly to fall back, at first its only slight, I think I must be imagining it, but I still grip the ladder tighter, then after a few seconds of questioning panic, I am sure of it. I feel the ladder fall back, I feel myself falling, I can feel it in every part of my bod,y slowly at first then accelerating, faster and faster as I grip the ladder tighter to my chest, Falling faster and faster.
And then, I wake up.

Now, by all accounts, this should be a nightmare, this should be horrifying… But its not. The first couple of times it was, sure. But I have had my dreams end this way 8 or so times in my life, and I have grown to enjoy the falling sensation, I know there is nothing I can do, nothing to stop myself falling, so I let it happen, and I enjoy it. Last night however, there was something new. The ladder was taller than it has ever been before, about 15 meters. and when I was about 10 meters up, A girl had started to climb up aswell. By the time I reached the top she were getting close, and by the time I realised the ladder was going to fall, she had caught up. And then the ladder fell back, I gripped the it tight to my chest, feeling the falling sensation all through my body, I let myself enjoy it. But as we both fell, I could hear the horrified screams of the girl below me, all the way to the ground.
And then, I woke up.

I have always believed that some dreams reflect whats going on in your subconscious. Recurring ones even more so. But I’m not going to interpret any of this dream because I don’t think there is any way I could ever properly understand it, and I don’t much see the point in trying. But it is rather curious none the less.

ahhhh! I don’t upgrade this blog nearly as much as I should… like… AT ALL. I do upgrade many other sites though… I thought it was about time I explained myself. and linked to all those other sites here! So if you do want to stalk me and are dissapointed with my lack of blog posts, I will post a few widgets from those sites here so even if it is once again, a while untill I post again, The widgets will have up-to-date information! and you will be abe to stalk me properly.

(by the way I know this is a total cop out and I really should try and update my blog more regularly… and I will! Just not today… I am watching black books with Angie)

Next comes twitter which you should all know I have… this is regularly updated with nice little bite-sized chunks of information about what I am doing! (excuse the random box… dunno why that’s there…)

ok thats all for now, i can’t be bothered writing any more at the moment and Joel has just arrived so we are going to continue the Black Books marathon!

Musicals Marathons and Disney Deprivation

HOLY WOW ITS A BLOG! haven’t done one of these for a while. I really should use this wonderful blog site John and I slaved over, more often… anyway, on to the actual topic of the blog

I was never much of a musical person, or more accurately… I never thought I was much of a musical person, but since returning from New Zealand I have discovered the true greatness of musicals.

While in NZ, I saw part of Sweeney Todd, and the complete High School Musical 3. I wasn’t hopeful for HSM… I didn’t think I would enjoy it, I didn’t think it was my thing, I didn’t think the songs would get stuck in my head for days on end, I didn’t think I would be driven to downloading the OST, I didn’t think it would start me on an epic musical quest… I was wrong about all these things, and to honest? I’m glad i was wrong. Musicals are fucking awesome.

since returning from nz I have seen:

Moulin rouge (again, but not since I was a kid)

and with the help of the ever wonderful Jade and the ever wonderful Tenani, I have managed to plan out the next few I will watch with my musical buddy Angie (who can be seen here) and the list is as follows, the first 3 being the musts.

The other part of this blog spawned from the continuation of me and Tenani’s chats about musicals, and how deprived my childhood must have been because I haden’t seen some of the classics such as My fair lady and the Wizard of OZ (I have seen most of oz, just never seen it beginning to end un-interupted). I mentioned that my childhood was also deprived because I had seen very little disney… of the 10 Disney films Tenani named as “musts” I could honestly say I had only seen properly and and could remember 3 of them, others I had seen parts of or seen completley when very very young, but didn’t really remember. In Tenani’s mind this Disney Deprivation was a calamity beyond words, and I was inclined to agree with him, I always wished I had seen more of those classic films but once I reached a certain age it just seemed I was too old to be watching them…

My reasoning for this tragic childhood Disney deprivation, by my understanding is as follows. I am the youngest of 3 children, while I am 18, my brother is 24 and my sister is 26, therefore when I was a kid my maturity and development levels were pulled up by them, so while other kids where watching disney, I was watching Xfiles and Bond. I have decided I must fix this so I have decided I will list Tenani’s 10 “disney musts” here and strike them off as I watch/rewatch them over the comming weeks. I will also cross off the musicals musts mentioned earlier as I watch them, just to keep record.

Ok so last night I had this really strange dream, I dreamed I went back in time to meet the creator of dinglepop, but when I arrived the time machine had screwed up and my clothes had disappeared, all I had where underpants, I did indeed meet the creator of the game, and he was my age at the time, He took me to “borders” to get some clothes, but to get there we had to go on this walk up a small mountainous track through bush, with wobbly bridges and thin beams you had to walk on for parts of it. The creator of dinglepop didn’t know I was from the future, he thought I was from “up north” and when I let slip I was from the future and that in the future he would make loads of awesome games, he thought I was a bit of a nutter. I stopped telling him stuff because I realised I might change the future and then he wouldn’t make the games and that would just suck.
When we finally arrived at “borders” it turned out to be a tree house, owned by the local teacher, Mrs border, and the clothes she sold where the lost and found clothes from the school, We climbed up a long ladder and reached a hatch at the top that said “borders” we called out and she opened the hatch, for some reason my mother from present day was inside drinking tea with Mrs borders, and on the ground was a painting of the cupboards with the crime scene tape in my bedroom, which had apparently been painted by one of my mums friends.

MY DREAMS ARE SO! FREAKING! WEIRD!

new years resolutions?

new years resolutions are always so annoying, because I never keep them, and so instesad of doing the obvious thing and making simple ones, I’m going to have new week resolutions for this week, (thursday the 1st to thursday the 8th) I know the week doesn;t conventionally start on a thursday… but this one is so yea…

weeks resolutions!
1: finish tidying and re aranging my room
2: tidy my computer desktop
3: finish the reno on this site!
4: make a video

I realise if I work fast I could probab ly get all this stuff done today… but I’m not in the mood for working fast, and if I set them all for today they would most likley end up like my normal full year resolutions. Failures. I will get started on the room now though… once I’m out of bed and dressed…

hello all… Its been a while…

Why has it been so long I hear you ask? well… that’s a complicated issue… John Lacey helped me build what this site used to be, to my specifications, and through out the process it was brilliant! but at the end of it all… I grew to feel more and more like the site was obnoxious… some may remember pages like the old “stalk me” section (still accessible through searching in the bar at the top) although seeming funny to me… I realized these things must just seem kind of pretentious to others… these feelings gradually made me want to use the blog less and less, and due to this I got out of the habit of blogging… I might add at the time I wasn’t really making videos or in fact being a part of youtube at all either, so that would have added to it. but anyway, that’s why I haven’t blogged for over 5 months.

But now with this new (still under construction) site theme, I feel the site has been returned to what it should be, and what it was originally intended to be, A simple yet snazzy blog, nothing more, nothing less. This rather rough and partly nonsensical blog hopefully marks the beginnings of regular posting again.

…yep that’s all I gotta say for now. it 4:19am and I should be sleeping.

HELLO HUMANS AND CHRIS (he doesn’t count)

So the boarding house is … well I presume most of you have seen the video.

I go home this weekend again like i did last weekend. which is good, it gives me time to wind down and recover, gives me a night in my own bed, and lets me use decent internet! Hazzar!

i had some drama last night, My external harddrive was being used by a friend and it got unplugged while a movie was playing, without being ejected properly, and now it is unreadable and unreparable by disk utility, It was quite distressing as there is alot of stuff on there I cant get back, including lots of my old videos. I brought it into school today and took it to one of the techies, on the off chance one of them knew a better way or “repairing” it and it turned out one of the techies is a professional at data recovery! and has a private buisness that specialise in it. HALLELUIA!! I took it in to him and he said it would be easy for him to do and told me to leave it with him over the weekend, he says the actual recovery will be done by the end of the day but he is going home so I wont be able to get it back till monday. BUT ZOMG I GET IT ALL BACK YAY!! sadly the harddrive apparently has issues, it makes a clicking noise which is apparently the “head” bouncing off the drive. not good. So I will need to get a new one soon but it is still under warranty so I should get one for free… as long as i can find the ebay store I bought it from… and the digital reciept, thank god my mum keeps all her emails. I have lots of other thingies I want to show you all such as the art book I made recently and am very proud of, and my new wall of cool stuff, but that is for another time, the bell for the start of lunch has just gone and i wanna go to the tuckshop before all the good food is gone. another blog soon hopefully.

p.s. I just realised its 888 today, damn them… *jealous*
